Education
Davron Makhmudov was born on August 15, 1987, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, into an educated family that valued science and public service. His mother, Yulduz Makhmudova, graduated from a pedagogical institute and worked as a schoolteacher. His father, Laziz Makhmudov, earned a degree from an agricultural institute and dedicated his career to agricultural development. Inspired by their commitment to education and the community, Davron chose the path of medicine and public health.
Davron Makhmudov began his educational journey in Uzbekistan and went on to study in leading medical institutions in Russia and Europe. His academic path reflects a deep commitment to pediatrics, infectious diseases, and international standards of food and pharmaceutical quality control.
1994–2003: Davron Makhmudov attended Secondary School No. 242 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
2003–2006: He studied at the Academic Lyceum affiliated with the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, where he earned the qualification of General Laboratory Technician.
2006: He enrolled at the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute to begin his medical education.
2010: He transferred to the Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy (now the Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University) in Russia.
2012: He graduated from the Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical Academy with an MD degree in Pediatrics.
2013–2016: He completed a Master’s program in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute.
2016–2019: He pursued postgraduate (PhD) studies at the Saint Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University and successfully defended his candidate dissertation titled: “Modern Features of the Clinical Course of HCV Infection in Children Depending on the Virus Genotype.”
2019: His doctoral dissertation topic was officially approved in Uzbekistan: “Integration of European and American Quality Control Standards into Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical and Food Oversight Systems: Innovative Approaches and Global Relevance.”
2019–2020: He studied European food quality control standards at Foster Clark in Malta as part of his doctoral research.
2020–2021: He continued remote work with Foster Clark from Uzbekistan while simultaneously contributing to the national COVID-19 response at the Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology, and Infectious Diseases.
2021–2024: He worked on pharmaceutical quality control at Pharmacare Premium in Malta, focusing on European compliance standards for his doctoral dissertation.
